The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ya. I went there.

Failure is success if you learn from it.

I don't look at these cookies as a failure. I mean do the taste they way I was expecting…no? Do they have a Vanilla coke flavour like I thought they would? … no. But are they delicious none the less?... why yes, yes they are!!

I am a huge coca cola fan. I drink one a day and I have no shame. Don't judge! ;p (there may be coke in that mug...like 100%)

I find they are always coming out with different flavours and one of my absolute favorites is vanilla coke. So, when I found a recipe for vanilla coke chocolate chip cookies, I couldn't wait to try them.

When it comes to chocolate chip cookies, I've been set on finding 'my' recipe. Know what I mean? One that is my go-to; the one I'm known for. The kind that people automatically think of me when they eat these cookies. I haven't found one yet…but this one may be a winner.

Anyway, I made them expecting a unique taste. Unfortunately, I didn't get a coke taste. It was rich, soft, thick, vanillaey, chocolatey etc. Everything that makes a great chocolate chip cookie, however it's wasn’t a vanilla coke chocolate chip cookie. It was almost like the coke enhanced the originally flavors and gave it a great texture. For those reasons, I consider this a success. I loved these cookies a lot! I wouldn't advertise them as Vanilla Coke Chocolate chip cookies. Instead I would say they are Chocolate Chip cookies made with vanilla coke. The raw cookie dough however, did taste better then any other raw cookie dough I have consumed lol

These are definitely a great go to CC cookie recipe! Definitely pin this one!

  2. Cream the butter and sugars together in your stand mixer.

  3. Once the mixture is fluffy, beat in the eggs, coke and vanilla and mix till well combined.

  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.

  5. Carefully mix in the flour, stop when it's just barely combined.

  6. Add in the chocolate chips until everything is incorporated.

  7. Drop spoonful's on a baking sheet and bake 9-11 minutes.

  8. Allow cookies to cool and store in an air tight container.

Happy Baking :)
